Levocetirizine diHCl
Indications/Uses
Relief of nasal & ocular symptoms of seasonal & perennial allergic rhinitis; symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn ≥12 yr 5 mg once daily in the evening. Childn 6-11 yr 2.5 mg once daily in the evening.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to levocetirizine or cetirizine. Patient w/ rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Severe renal impairment (CrCl <10 mL/min).
Special Precautions
Avoid concurrent use w/ alcohol or other CNS depressants. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <6 yr.

Drug Interactions
Decreased clearance w/ theophylline. Decreased rate of absorption w/ food.
