Bacterial conjunctivitis Instill 1 drop in affected eye tds for 7 days. Pre- & post-op sterilization Instill 1 drop in affected eye 5 times daily pre-op & tds post-op.
Discontinue use if allergic reactions & superinfection occurs; at 1st sign of tendon inflammation. Not to be inj subconjunctivally or introduced directly to anterior eye chamber. Overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms. Not to wear contact lens if w/ signs & symptoms of bacterial conjunctivitis. Concurrent use w/ corticosteroids. May affect ability to drive & use machines. Pregnancy & lactation. Ped patients <1 yr. Elderly.
