Paracetamol
Indications/Uses
Relief of fever & pain. Tab: Relief of headache.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Tab Adult & childn >12 yr 1-2 tab tds-qds. Max: 8 tab daily. Oral susp 250 mg/5 mL Childn 9-12 yr 10-15 mL 6 hrly, 6-9 yr 6-10 mL 6 hrly.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Severe & active hepatic impairment.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if severe skin reaction occurs. Not to be taken w/ other paracetamol-containing medicines. Avoid large doses in patients w/ hepatic impairment. Renal impairment.
Adverse Reactions
Rarely, hematological & cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions.
Drug Interactions
Enhanced anticoagulant effect of warfarin & other coumarins.
