Caution For Usage
Special Instructions for Use, Handling and Disposal: KRABEVA infusions should not be administered or mixed with dextrose or glucose solutions (see "Incompatibilities" as follows).
Do not administer as an intravenous push or bolus.
KRABEVA should be prepared by a healthcare professional using aseptic technique. Withdraw the necessary amount of KRABEVA and dilute to the required administration volume with 0.9% sodium chloride solution. The concentration of the final KRABEVA solution should be kept within the range of 1.4-16.5 mg/ml.
Discard any unused portion left in a vial, as the product contains no preservatives. Parenteral drug products should be inspected visually for particulate matter and discoloration prior to administration.
KRABEVA is not formulated for intravitreal use.
Incompatibilities: No incompatibilities between KRABEVA and polyvinyl chloride or polyolefin bags have been observed. Dilute KRABEVA with using normal saline only. Do not prepare of administer in Dextrose or glucose solutions.
Disposal of unused/expired medicines: The release of pharmaceuticals in the environment should be minimised. Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater and disposal through household waste should be avoided. Use established "collection systems", if available in the location.
