Diclofenac diethylamine
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of mild to moderate pain & inflammation associated w/ low backache, sprain & strain, blunt trauma of tendons, ligaments, muscles & joints.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Spray 6-8 inches from application site & gently spread using fingertips. Max single dose: 7 pump strokes & max daily dose: 30 pump strokes.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac, ASA or other NSAIDs. Asthma, ASA- or other NSAIDs-precipitated attacks of asthma, urticaria or acute rhinitis. Last trimester of pregnancy. Childn & adolescents <14 yr.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if skin rash develops. History of peptic ulcer, bleeding diathesis or inflammatory bowel disease. Not to be applied on any mucosa, open wound, cut or diseased skin; over large skin areas & for long-term use. Not recommended to be used w/ occlusive dressing. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight. Concomitant use w/ oral NSAIDs. Hepatic or renal insufficiency. Not to be given during 1st & 2nd trimesters of pregnancy. Lactation. Not recommended to be used in childn. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Rash, eczema, erythema, dermatitis, pruritus.
Drug Interactions
Increased incidence of AR w/ ASA or other NSAIDs.
