Why do I need this medicine?
Cyclizine is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting associated with, motion sickness, nausea and vomiting after surgery and radiation therapy (cancer treatment).
How do I take this medicine?
Take Cyclizine exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.

If you are taking Cyclizine to prevent motion sickness, take it 30 minutes before you start on your journey.

You may take Cyclizine with or without food.
What should I do if I have forgotten to take this medicine?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.

DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.
What should I take note of while taking this medicine?
Inform your doctor if you have the following conditions:

- history of epilepsy (fits or seizures)
- liver disease
- stomach problems (e.g. bowel blockage)
- heart problems or irregular heart rhythm
- glaucoma (increased pressure in the eyes)
- enlarged prostate or urinary problems

Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Be sure to check with your doctor or pharmacist before giving this medicine to a child.
What side effects could I experience?
Cyclizine may make you drowsy. If affected, do not drive or take part in any activity in which you need to be alert.

You may also experience some problems with your eyesight, such as blurred vision or double vision. Always keep your doctor updated of any changes in your eyesight. If you cannot see clearly, avoid driving and any activity in which you need to be alert.

Other side effects of Cyclizine include any of the following: headache, dry mouth and difficult or painful urination.

Some side effects may need immediate medical help. Alert your doctor quickly if you experience yellowing of skin or eyes.

Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Can I take this with other medicines?
Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any of these medicines:

- medicines for anxiety and sleep disorders e.g. bromazepam, diazepam
- medicines to block pain and sensation e.g. fentanyl, nalbuphine
- medicine for moderate to severe pain e.g. morphine, pethidine

This list does not include all medicines that may interact with Cyclizine.

Always notify your doctor or and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
What special dietary instructions should I follow?
Avoid alcohol.
How should I store this medicine?
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.

Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
