Each mL of ClariClear 0.05% nasal spray also contains benzalkonium chloride as preservatives and sodium hydroxide, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, disodium edentate, propylene glycol, hydrochloric acid and purified water as other inactive ingredients.
The sympathomimetic action of oxymetazoline HCl constricts the arteriolar network within the nasal mucosa producing a prolonged decongestant effect.
Symptomatic relief of nasal and nasopharyngeal congestion due to the common cold, sinusitis, hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies. It is also recommended for office use on a nasal tampon to facilitate intranasal examination or before nasal surgery.
Adults and Children ≥6 years: 0.05%: 2 or 3 sprays into each nostril twice daily, morning and evening. With the head upright, place the spray nozzle into the nostril without completely occluding the nostril. During each administration, the patient should bend his head slightly forward and squeeze bottle quickly and firmly to spray the recommended number of sprays in each nostril.
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of ClariClear.
Use in children: ClariClear 0.05% nasal spray is not recommended for use in children <6 years.
0.05%: Do not exceed the recommended dosage and do not use for >3 days. If symptoms persist for >3 days, consult a physician. Prolonged use is not recommended.
Use of the product dispenser by more than one person may spread infection. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance immediately.
ClariClear is generally well tolerated; adverse effects are usually mild and transient and include burning, stinging, sneezing or increased nasal discharge.
