Alclometasone - topical/cutaneous

Alclometasone helps relieve inflammation and itch that may occur with certain skin problems.

Apply Alclometasone exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more often or over a larger area than instructed by your doctor.

How to apply:

1. Wash your hands before applying Alclometasone.
2. Clean and dry affected area before application.
3. Rub Alclometasone gently on the skin until it disappears. Do not cover, wrap or bandage the area, unless instructed by the doctor.
4. Wash your hands after using.
5. Replace the cap of the tube.

Avoid contact with eyes or mouth Rinse immediately with water if this medicine gets into your eyes or mouth. Alert your doctor if you start to have any problems with your eyes.

Do not use with occlusive dressing unless instructed by the doctor.

Alclometasone must be used regularly for it to be effective. Continue using this medicine even when you feel better. Do not stop using it unless instructed by the doctor.

Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember.

DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.

If you often forget to take your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.

Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Be sure to check with your doctor or pharmacist before giving this medicine to a child. If your child is using Alclometasone, he/she may need to have his/her height monitored regularly.

Do not apply on skin that is broken or infected. Do not apply on skin that is discharging fluid or pus.

Do not apply Alclometasone on your face, groin, or armpits unless instructed by your doctor to do so.

Do not apply Alclometasone to large areas of your skin.

Tell your doctor if your condition does not improve or if it worsens.

Alclomethasone may cause any of the following side effects: rashes, drying, thinning, burning, stinging, tingling, and itching of the skin.

This medicine may also cause changes in skin color. Discuss with your doctor if you experience any.

If you develop rashes, breathlessness, swollen mouth or eyes, stop using the medicine and inform your doctor quickly. These could be signs of an allergic reaction.

Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.

Let your doctor know if you are using any other creams, ointments or lotions on the affected area.

Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.

Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.

Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
