Tramadol HCl
Indications/Uses
Acute & severe chronic pain. Post-op pain.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >16 yr 1 cap as a single dose then followed by an additional dose of 1 cap after 30-60 min. Max: 400 mg/day.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Addiction to other drugs/opioid, hypersensitivity to tramadol or other opiates. Concomitant use w/ MAOIs. Acute intoxicity w/ alcohol, hypnotics, analgesics or other CNS drugs.
Special Precautions
Headache, increased intracranial pressure, severe renal & liver impairment or bronchial hypersecretion; drug dependence. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Elderly & debilitated patients.
Adverse Reactions
Dizziness, vomiting, nausea, dry mouth, fatigue, dyspepsia, constipation, sedation, pruritus, sweating, skin redness, headache.
Drug Interactions
CNS depressants, tranquilizers, hypnotics.
