General anxiety disorder & symptoms of nonspecific anxiety w/ or w/o depression.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Initially, 5 mg 3 times daily, may be increased to 5 mg at 2-3 days interval until optimal therapeutic effect is obtained. Total daily dose: 20-30 mg daily in 2-3 divided doses. Max: 60 mg daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Concomitant use w/ MAOI or other antipsychotropic agents, alcohol. Patients w/ impaired liver & kidney function. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <18 yr.
