Description

Turbuhaler: Each delivered dose (the dose that leaves the mouthpiece) contains budesonide 80 or 160 micrograms/inhalation and formoterol fumarate dihydrate 4.5 micrograms/inhalation.
SYMBICORT turbuhaler 80/4.5 or 160/4.5 mcg/inhalation delivers the same amount of budesonide and formoterol as the corresponding Turbuhaler monoproducts, i.e. budesonide 100 or 200 micrograms/inhalation (metered dose) and formoterol 6 micrograms/inhalation (metered dose) alternatively labelled as 4.5 micrograms/inhalation (delivered dose).
Rapihaler: Each single actuation (delivered dose, the amount of drug that leaves the mouthpiece) contains budesonide 80 or 160 micrograms and formoterol fumarate dihydrate 4.5 micrograms.
Formoterol fumarate dihydrate is hereafter referred to as "formoterol."
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Turbuhaler: Lactose monohydrate 810 micrograms and 730 micrograms per dose, respectively.
Rapihaler: Apaflurane (HFA 227), Povidone K25, Macrogol (polyethylene glycol) 1000.
