Contents
Dexamethasone 0.5 mg, dexchlorphenamine maleate 2 mg
Indications/Uses
Severe hay fever, chronic bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, atopic & contact dermatitis, drug reactions, serum sickness, allergic conjunctivitis, keratitis & ocular inflammatory disorders.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult
1-2 caplet 4 times daily.
Childn
½ caplet 3-4 times daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Herpes simplex, corneal ulcers, systemic fungal infection. Newborn or premature infants.
Special Precautions
Peptic ulcer, infections, chronic renal failure, uremia, narrow-angle glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, HTN, DM. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Salt & fluid retention, GI disturbances, increased appetite, growth retardation, Cushingoid state, amenorrhoea, muscle weakness, blurred vision, dry mouth, difficulty in micturition, drowsiness, aseptic osteonecrosis, hyperhidrosis.

Drug Interactions
Anticoagulants. Decreased effect w/ rifampicin, phenytoin, primidone, barbital, carbamazepine, terbutaline. Avoid concomitant use of MAOI.
