Indications/Uses
Reduction of total & LDL cholesterol levels in patient w/ hypercholesterolemia.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Initially 5-10 mg once daily in the evening.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Avoid excessive consumption (>1 L/day) of grapefruit juice.
Adverse Reactions
Myopathy, rhabdomyolysis, arthralgia, brain nerves dysfunction, tremor, vertigo, confusion, insomnia, depression, anxiety, hypersensitivity reactions, GI disturbances, alopecia, gynecomastia, decreased libido, cataract, ophthalmoplegia.
Drug Interactions
Coumarin anticoagulant, fibric acid derivatives, niacin, immunosuppressant.
