Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief in the treatment of OA. Relief of chronic musculoskeletal pain & acute pain associated w/ dental surgery.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Arthritis/OA 60 mg once daily. Analgesia/acute pain associated w/ dental surgery 120 mg once daily. Chronic musculoskeletal pain 60 mg once daily. Moderate hepatic insufficiency (Child-Pugh score 7-9) 60 mg every other day should not be exceeded. Mild hepatic insufficiency (Child-Pugh score 5-6) 60 mg once daily should not be exceeded.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. CHF; established ischemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease &/or cerebrovascular disease (including patients who have recently undergone CABG surgery or angioplasty).
Special Precautions
Asthma. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Anxiety, insomnia, dysgeusia, CHF, hypertensive crisis, bronchospasm, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, hepatitis, angioedema, pruritus, rash, SJS, urticaria.
Drug Interactions
Warfarin, rifampin, MTX, diuretic, ACE inhibitor, lithium, aspirin, OCs, HRT.
