Permethrin
Indications/Uses
Infestation w/ Sarcoptes scabiei (scabies).
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply evenly on the entire surface of the skin from head to toes, the area behind the ear, crease buttocks & between the fingers for 8-12 hr at night, & then wash on the next day.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to permethrin, synthetic pyrethroid or pyrethrin.
Special Precautions
Symptoms of scabies do not disappear immediately after treatment. Avoid contact w/ eyes. Contact a doctor immediately if irritation persists. Pregnant & breast-feeding women. Infants <2 mth.
Adverse Reactions
Burning sensation eg, mild burning, stinging, itching, erythema, hypesthesia & skin rashes.
