Contents
Paracetamol 500 mg/650 mg, phenylpropanolamine HCl 15 mg
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of flu, fever, headache & nasal congestion.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 1 caplet 3 times daily. Childn 6-12 yr ½ caplet 3 times daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Severe HTN, MAOI therapy. Severe liver function disorder.
Special Precautions
Patient w/ HTN or having risk of HTN or stroke eg, overwt or elderly; liver & renal dysfunction, glaucoma, prostate hypertrophy, hyperthyroidism, urinary retention, heart failure, & DM. Alcohol consumption may enhance the risk of liver function disorder. Palpitation. Pregnancy & lactation. Not recommended for childn <6 yr.
Adverse Reactions
GI disorder, psychomotor disorder, tachycardia, arrhythmia, palpitation, urinary retention, large dose & long-term use will cause liver damage.
Drug Interactions
Antidepressant-type MAOIs will cause hypertensive crisis.
