Ambroxol HCl

Indications/Uses

As secretolytic in acute & chronic resp disorders especially in exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis & bronchial asthma.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Caplet Adult & childn ≥12 yr 1 caplet 2-3 times daily. Childn 6-12 yr ½ caplet 2-3 times daily. Syr Childn 5-12 yr 5 mL 3 times daily, 2-5 yr 2.5 mL 3 times daily, <2 yr 2.5 mL twice daily.

Administration

Should be taken with food.

Special Precautions

Long-term use. Renal insufficiency. Pregnancy & lactation.

Adverse Reactions

Intolerance reactions. Mild GI disturbances. Skin allergic reactions, facial edema, dyspnea, fever.
