Contents
Per caplet Triprolidine HCl 2.5 mg, pseudoephedrine HCl 60 mg. Per 5 mL Triprolidine HCl 1.25 mg, pseudoephedrine HCl 30 mg
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of upper resp tract disease, eg, allergic & vasomotor rhinitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Caplet Adult & childn >12 yr 1 caplet. Syr Adult & childn>12 yr 2 tsp. Childn 6-12 yr 1 tsp, 2-6 yr 1/2 tsp. To be taken 3 times daily. Not recommended for childn <2 yr.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Acute asthma attack. HTN, severe CHD.
Special Precautions
HTN, acute asthma, CHD, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, liver ischaemia, glaucoma. Liver & renal dysfunction, prostate enlargement. Sleep disturbances, palpitation, dizziness (discontinue). May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness, excitation (in childn), dizziness, anxiety, HTN, palpitation, tachycardia, urinary retention, constipation, dry mouth.
Drug Interactions
Triprolidine HCl: antidepressants, atropine, haloperidol, phenothiazine, quinidine, disopyramide, alcohol, narcotic analgesics, sedatives/hypnotics. Pseudoephedrine HCl: MAOIs, other sympathomimetics.
