ASA 100 mg, glycine 45 mg
Indications/Uses
Prevention of MI, unstable angina & transient ischemic attacks (TIA).
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 1 tab daily. MI Max: 300 mg daily. TIA Max: 1000 mg daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Allergy including asthma, peptic ulcer or SC hemorrhage (on medical advice); hemophilia & thrombocytopenia; chicken pox & flu symptoms. Last trimester of pregnancy. Childn <12 yr.
Special Precautions
Tinnitus, hearing disorders (discontinue); permanent gastric disorders; CV thrombotic events, HTN, CHF & edema; risk of ulceration, GI bleeding & perforation. Dehydration. Impaired liver function. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Gastric irritation, nausea, vomiting; GI bleeding & gastritis (long-term use); hypersensitivity reactions (eg, dyspnea, dermatitis); thrombocytopenia.
Drug Interactions
Anticoagulants, alcohol.

B01AC06 - acetylsalicylic acid ; Belongs to the class of platelet aggregation inhibitors excluding heparin. Used in the treatment of thrombosis.
