Immunomodulator for viral diseases & for immunodeficiency condition.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn Ave dose: 50 mg/kg/day in 3-4 divided doses. Severe infections, acute phase 100 mg/kg/day in 4-6 divided doses. Usual treatment duration: 7-10 days. Continue medication for at least 2 days after symptoms subside.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Special Precautions
Monitor serum uric acid levels in patient w/ gout, urolithiasis, or renal dysfunction.
Adverse Reactions
Transient elevation of uric acid in urine &/or serum uric acid levels.
J05AX05 - inosine pranobex ; Belongs to the class of other antivirals. Used as a direct acting antiviral in the systemic treatment of viral infections.
