As secretolytic in acute & chronic resp disorders especially in exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis & bronchial asthma.
Dosage/Direction for Use
TabAdult & childn >12 yr 1 tab, childn 6-12 yr ½ tab. To be taken 2-3 times daily. SyrChildn 6-12 yr 5 mL 2-3 times daily, 2-6 yr 2.5 mL 3 times daily, <2 yr 2.5 mL 2 times daily. DropsChildn 4 to <6 yr 2 mL, 2 to <4 yr 1.5 mL, 1 to <2 yr 1 mL, <1 yr 0.5 mL. To be taken twice daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Drops: May be mixed w/ fruit juice, milk or water.
Special Precautions
Avoid long-term use. Kidney insufficiency. 1st trimester of pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Mild GI effects. Rarely, skin allergy, facial edema, dyspnea, fever.
