Treatment & prophylaxis of hemorrhage.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Newborn
Prophylaxis of hemorrhage
0.5-1 mg IM 1-6 hr after delivery.
Treatment of hemorrhage
1 mg IM/SC.
Special Precautions
Excessive dose. Avoid IV use.
Adverse Reactions
Hyperbilirubinemia, cyanosis, peripheral vascular collapse, flushing, sweating, chest pain, hyperhidrosis, shock, hypersensitivity reactions; pain & swelling at inj site; hemolytic anemia & hemoglobinuria.
