Glycerol, lactic acid, α-glucan oligosaccharides
Indications/Uses
Rapid recovery of normal vag ecosystem, mainly after antibiotics treatment of vag infections eg, bacterial vaginosis. Relief of vag discomfort & odours by restoring normal pH & vag flora. Prevention of bacterial vaginosis relapses.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Bacterial vaginosis episode Apply 1 dose/day for 8 consecutive days. Start on the day after the end of antibiotic treatment. Repeat treatment after the following menstruation. Frequent relapses Apply 1 dose/day for 8 consecutive days. Repeat every 6 mth, starting on the day after the end of menstruation.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Young girls who have not reached puberty.
Special Precautions
Ensure clean conditions eg, washed hands. Do not re-use. Not to be used during menstruation. Virgin patients. Avoid application when pregnancy is desired. May alleviate sperm motility.
Adverse Reactions
Erythema, swelling, burning sensation or itching at the area of application.
Drug Interactions
Risk of rupture or ineffectiveness w/ condoms, latex membranes (diaphragms), spermicidal agents or other types of physical barrier contraceptives.
