Indications/Uses
Duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, mild & moderate throat infections (esophagitis reflux), pathologic hypersecretory conditions related w/ Zollinger-Ellison syndrome or other neoplastic conditions.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Duodenal, gastric IV ulcer, moderate & severe esophagitis reflux 40 mg daily IV. Long-term treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome & other pathological hypersecretion conditions Initially 80 mg daily IV. Elderly, kidney impairment Do not exceed 40 mg daily. Severe liver disorder 20 mg daily.
Special Precautions
IV administration is only recommended when PO is not appropriate. Not for mild GI symptoms eg, nervous dyspepsia. Exclude the probability of severe gastric ulcer or severe esophageal disease. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Leucopenia, thrombocytopenia, diarrhea, constipation, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, thrombophlebitis, peripheral edema, jaundice w/ or w/o liver damage, anaphylaxis reaction including anaphylactic shock; increased liver enzyme, increased triglycerides; arthralgia, myalgia; headache, dizziness, visual disturbances; mental depression; interstitial nephritis; allergic reactions ie, pruritus, skin rash, urticaria, angioedema, SJS, erythema multiforme, Lyell's syndrome.

PPI, warfarin.
