Contents
Per mL Polymyxin B sulfate 10,000 IU, neomycin sulfate 3,390 IU, betamethasone base 1 mg, lidocaine HCl 40 mg
Indications/Uses
Otitis externa associated w/ bacterial infections which require corticosteroid therapy.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Instill 4-5 drops in the external auricle tube 2-4 times daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Herpes simplex, vaccinia, varicella & other viral infections; perforated tympanic membrane; fungal & TB infections.
Special Precautions
Discontinue upon sensitization or irritation/deterioration signs. General pain of tympanic membrane, fever; frequent or prolonged use (>7 days); cross-sensitization in concomitant w/ other aminoglycosides. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic sensitization, itching, irritation, stinging & burning sensation in the middle ear.
