Per 5 mL Oxomemazine 1.65 mg, guaifenesin 33.3 mg
Indications/Uses
Reduce cough w/ sputum accompanied by allergic condition.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >12 yr (>40 kg) 10 mL 4 times daily. Childn 10-12 yr (30-40 kg) 10 mL 3-4 times daily, 6-10 yr (20-30 kg) 10 mL 2-3 times daily, 2-6 yr (10-20 kg) 5 mL 2-3 times daily.
Contraindications
History of agranulocytosis, risk of urinary retention related to urethroprostatic disorders & closed-angled glaucoma.
Special Precautions
Elderly w/ susceptible to orthostatic hypotension, vertigo, sedation; chronic constipation; possible prostatic hypertrophy; CV disorders; impaired liver &/ renal function. Childn <2 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Sedation or drowsiness, dry mucous membranes, constipation.
Drug Interactions
Alcohol, sultopride.
