IV Post-op vomiting & nausea 4 mg single dose IM or by slow IV inj.
Nausea & vomiting induced by highly emetogenic chemotherapy Adult Initially 8 mg by slow IV inj or 15 min infusion given immediately before chemotherapy, followed by 1 mg by a constant infusion of 1 mg/hr for <24 hr or 2 inj of 8 mg by slow IV inj or 15 min infusion 4-hrly or alternatively, 8 mg orally twice daily for <5 days.
Less emetogenic chemotherapy 8 mg by slow IV inj or 15 min infusion given immediately before chemotherapy, followed by 8 mg orally twice daily for <5 days.
Childn <4 yr 5 mg/mL by 15 min IV infusion given immediately before chemotherapy, followed by 4 mg orally 12 hrly for <5 days.
Syr Childn ≥11 yr 5 mL 3 times daily, may be increased to 10 mL.
4-11 yr 5 mL twice daily.
1-4 yr 0.15 mg/kg 3 times daily.
