10 mg: Prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in adult patients undergoing elective hip or knee replacement surgery. 15 mg & 20 mg: To reduce the risk of stroke in patients w/ non vulvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF), DVT, pulmonary embolism (PE).
Dosage/Direction for Use
Prevention of VTE in adult patients undergoing elective hip or knee replacement surgery 10 mg once daily. Initial dose should be taken 6-10 hr post-op. Treatment of DVT & PE 15 mg twice daily for the 1st 3 wk then 20 mg once daily for continued treatment.
