Misoprostol

Indications/Uses

Prevention of NSAID-induced gastric ulcers in patients at risk of developing gastric ulcer.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult 100 or 200 mcg 4 times daily.

Administration

Should be taken with food.

Contraindications

Pregnancy & lactation.

Special Precautions

Preexisting CV disease. Cerebrovascular, coronary artery or severe peripheral vascular disease including HTN. Childn <18 yr.

Adverse Reactions

Diarrhoea, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, flatulence, nausea, vomiting; menorrhagia, vag bleeding, intermenstrual bleeding, skin rashes, dizziness.
