Indications/Uses

Dosage/Direction for Use
Stable, variant & unstable angina pectoris, cardiac infarction Initially 1 tab 3 times daily. May increase up to 9-12 tab in divided doses daily in patients w/ angina. HTN, Raynaud's syndrome May increase up to 2 tab 3 times daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Avoid grapefruit juice.
Contraindications
Cardiogenic shock, porphyria, moderate/severe stenosis. Pregnancy.
Special Precautions
Severe hypotension; poor cardiac reserve.
Adverse Reactions
Dizziness; flushing; headache; hypotension; peripheral edema; hepatitis; rash; muscle cramps; nephrotic syndrome; acute psychosis; gingival hyperplasia.
Drug Interactions
Enhances antihypertensive effect of β-blockers. Bioavailability increased w/ cimetidine, ranitidine.
