Indications/Uses
Prevention of NSAID-induced gastric ulcer in patients w/ high-risk complication ie, elderly, patients w/ gastric ulcer history.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 200 mcg 4 times daily, may be reduced to 100 mcg 4 times daily at bedtime.
Contraindications
Prostaglandin allergy. Pregnancy.
Special Precautions
Not for NSAID-induced duodenal ulcer. Lactation. Childn <18 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Diarrhea.
