Indications/Uses
Peripheral neuropathies. Cap: Megaloblastic anemia due to vit B12 deficiency.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Cap 1 cap 3 times daily. IV/IM Inj 500 mcg 3 times wkly.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Inj: Must be used immediately after the package is opened & the amp should not be exposed to light. Repeated IM inj at the same site in neonates, premature infants, infants & childn. The course of nerves for the site of inj. W/draw inj immediately & try different site if pain or blood reflux occurs. Not to be used over a period of mth if lacking satisfactory clinical response in patients w/ megaloblastic anemia or w/ peripheral neuropathies due to vit B12 deficiency.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, diarrhea, skin rash. Cap: Anorexia. Inj: Hypersensitivity. Reduced appetite, other GI disorders; anaphylaxis, dyspnea, headache & hot sensation.
