Fluticasone propionate
Indications/Uses
Inflammatory & pruritus of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply thinly on the affected skin 1-2 times daily w/o occlusive dressing.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to corticosteroid. Rosacea, perioral dermatitis. Acne vulgaris, primary viral infection on the skin (ie, herpes simplex, chickenpox), perianal & genital pruritus. Primary skin infection due to fungal or bacterial. Childn <1 yr including dermatitis & napkin eruption.
Special Precautions
Not for face or groin. Discontinue treatment if any irritation occurs. Long-term use, high dose, extensive use. Occlusive dressing. Avoid ophth use. Pregnancy & lactation. Infant & childn.
Adverse Reactions
Dryness, itching, or burning sensation of the skin. Intensive & prolonged use may cause local skin atrophy eg, thinning, striae, superficial vasodilatation, hypertrichosis, hypopigmentation. Secondary infection (especially in occlusive dressing use). Irritation, folliculitis, acneiform eruptions, perioral dermatitis, miliaria.
