Lidocaine HCl monohydrate
Indications/Uses
Local or regional anesth.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Infiltration procedure 200 mg. Epidural anesth 100-200 mg.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Hypotension or coagulation disorder, patients receiving anticoagulation therapy. Inflammation &/or sepsis on inj site.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ epilepsy, heart conduction disorder, bradycardia, severe shock or digitalis intoxication. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
CNS manifestations eg, dizziness, anxiety, euphoria, confusion, tinnitus, hyperacoustic, blurred vision, vomiting; CV symptoms eg, bradycardia, hypotension, allergic reaction, neurological symptoms eg, persistent numbness, paresthesia.
Drug Interactions
Antiarrhythmic agents, amiodarone, β-adrenoreceptor antagonist, cimetidine, anticonvulsants, inhaled anesth, muscle relaxants.
