Gemfibrozil
Indications/Uses
Hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, dyslipidemia: Fredrickson type IIA, IIB, III, IV & V.
Dosage/Direction for Use
900-1,500 mg daily in 2 divided doses.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 30 min before meals.
Contraindications
Renal dysfunction, severe hepatic, gallbladder disease.
Adverse Reactions
GI disturbance, nausea, dizziness.
Drug Interactions
Increase plasma conc of warfarin.
