Indications/Uses
Tab: Reduction of cognitive function in elderly. Inj: Acute stage: Unconsciousness following cerebral trauma or brain operation. Chronic stage: Rehabilitation of upper & lower extremities in apoplectic hemiplegia.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Tab 1 tab 2 times daily. Inj Unconsciousness due to injury or brain surgery 100-500 mg 1-2 times daily by IV drip or inj. Unconsciousness due to acute cerebral infarction 1,000 mg IV inj once daily for 2 wk. Post-apoplectic hemiplegia 1,000 mg IV inj once daily for 4 wk.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Acute, severe & progressive consciousness disturbance; concomitant therapy w/ hemostatic or ICP-relieving drug or use of measures to keep body temp low. Avoid high doses in intracranial bleeding.
Adverse Reactions
Hypotension, rash, insomnia, drowsiness.
