Indications/Uses
Tab: Reduction of cognitive function in elderly. Inj: Acute stage: Unconsciousness following cerebral trauma & brain surgery. Chronic stage: Acceleration of upper extremity recovery in post-apoplectic hemiplegic patients. Patients w/ relatively mild lower extremity paralysis w/in a yr & currently in rehabilitation along w/ oral therapy.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Tab 1-2 tab daily. Inj Acute stage 250-500 mg IV drip/inj 1-2 times daily. Chronic stage 100-300 mg IV/IM inj 1-2 times daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Tab: Childn. Pregnancy & lactation. Inj: Avoid large dose usage (>500 mg as a single dose) in the presence of intracranial bleeding. Patients w/ unconsciousness in acute stage of cerebral infarction.
Adverse Reactions
Tab: Epigastric distress, nausea, skin redness, headache, dizziness. Inj: Skin rash, insomnia, headache, dizziness, shock (BP lowering, chest discomfort), nausea, anorexia, liver function abnormality, transient diplopia & BP changes, malaise.
