Mebhydrolin napadisylate
Indications/Uses
Allergic reactions.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 100-300 mg. Childn 6-12 yr 100-200 mg. To be given daily in divided doses.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take during or shortly after meals.
Contraindications
Acute asthmatic attack. Premature infant.
Special Precautions
Narrow-angle glaucoma. Urinary retention, prostatic hypertrophy; focal lesions of the cerebral cortex. Cross-sensitivity to related drugs. Avoid operating vehicles or machinery. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Sedation, GI disturbances, antimuscarinic effects; hypotension, muscular weakness, tinnitus, euphoria, headache; CNS stimulation; allergic reaction; blood disorders.
Drug Interactions
Alcohol, CNS depressants, anticholinergics, MAOI.
