Sulbactam Na 500 mg, cefoperazone Na 500 mg
Indications/Uses
Upper & lower resp tract infections, UTI, peritonitis, cholecystitis, cholangitis & other intra-abdominal infections; skin & soft tissue infections.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 2-4 g in 2 divided doses 12 hrly, may be increased up to 8 g daily in severe or refractory infections. Childn 40-80 mg/kg/day in divided doses 6-12 hrly, may be increased up to 160 mg/kg/day in severe or refractory infections.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to penicillin or cephalosporin.
Special Precautions
Hepatic dysfunction & concomitant renal impairment; overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms.
Adverse Reactions
Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, maculopapular rash, urticaria, eosinophilia, drug fever.
Drug Interactions
Alcohol.
