Contents
Per tab Triprolidine HCl 2.5 mg, pseudoephedrine HCl 30 mg. Per 5 mL syr Triprolidine HCl 1.25 mg, pseudoephedrine HCl 30 mg
Indications/Uses
Relief of sneezing & nasal congestion due to colds.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Tab Adult 1 tab 3 times daily. Childn 6-12 yr ½ tab 3 times daily. Syr Adult 1 tsp 3 times daily. Childn 6-12 yr ½ tsp 3 times daily; 2-6 yr ¼ tsp 3 times daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Active liver disease or unexplained persistent elevations of serum transaminases >3 x ULN. Women of childbearing potential not using adequate contraceptive measures. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Glaucoma, prostate hypertrophy, hyperthyroidism, heart problems & DM. Avoid driving a motorized vehicle or operating machinery. Impaired liver & kidney function. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <2 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness, indigestion, headache, insomnia, excitation, tremors, tachycardia, arrhythmias, dry mouth, palpitations & difficulty in urinating.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant use w/ sympathomimetic drugs including decongestants, TCAs, appetite suppressants & amphetamine-like psychostimulants, or w/ MAOIs may increase BP. Drugs that interfere w/ sympathetic activity including bretylium, bethanidine, guanethidine, debrisoquine, methyldopa, β & α adrenergic blockers. Alcohol or other sedatives acting on the CNS.
