Contents
Per 5 mL Glyceryl guaiacolate 50 mg, Na citrate 180 mg, diphenhydramine HCl 12.5 mg, phenylpropanolamine HCl 12.5 mg, alcohol 5%
Indications/Uses
Productive, irritative, spasmodic & allergic coughs.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 1½-2 tsp. Childn 7-12 yr 1-1½ tsp, 2-6 yr ½-1 tsp. Infant ¼-½ tsp. To be taken 3-4 times daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hyperthyroidism; HTN, coronary disease. Avoid use w/in 2 wk of MAOI.
Special Precautions
Cardiac disease; diabetes; glaucoma; pregnancy. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery.
Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness, dizziness; dry mouth; epileptiform seizures (high doses).
Drug Interactions
May potentiate other CNS depressants. Actions prolonged by MAOI.
