Childn 40 kg body wt 14.5 mL/kg/day,
30 kg body wt 16 mL/kg/day,

10 kg body wt 24 mL/kg/day. To be infused over at least 8 hr.
Infant Up to 35 mL/kg/day. Gradually increase dosage during 1st wk of life then, infusion to be given continuously over 24 hr.
Inborn errors of amino acid metabolism, irreversible liver damage, severe uremia.
Increased urinary excretion of copper & Zn during prolonged use.
Nausea, transient increase in liver tests, thrombophlebitis.
