Disorders related to progesterone deficit. Oral route: Menstrual irregularity due to dysovulation; premenstrual disorders; breast pain or benign breast disorders; bleeding; menopause therapy. Vag route: Helps pregnancy in case of repeated abortion or during in vitro fertilization cycles.
200-300 mg daily divided into 1 or 2 intakes (100 mg in the morning & 100 or 200 mg at bedtime). May increase to 600 mg daily divided into 3 intakes to help pregnancy. Max: 200 mg (2 cap) per intake by oral or vag route.
Not contraceptive. Not a treatment for all cases of spontaneous premature abortion. Should only be used in pregnancy during the 1st trimester & by vag route. Risk of undesirable hepatic effects during the 2nd & 3rd trimesters of pregnancy. Oral route: Take far from mealtimes, preferably in the evening at bedtime. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery.
Risk of allergic reactions due to soya-bean lecithin. Oral route: Possible drowsiness or somnolence; menstrual irregularities, interruption of menses, intramenstrual bleeding.
