Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) once daily.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Do not use more than once daily; more frequent administration may lessen IOP-lowering effect. May induce macular oedema, including cystoid macular oedema, & reduced visual acuity in patients w/ aphakia or pseudophakia. May aggravate or induce asthmatic attack in patients w/ bronchial asthma or history thereof. Elevated IOP in patients w/ endophthalmitis (iritis, uveitis). Pigmentation in iris & eyelid (increased melanin content), or hypertrichosis around the eyes may occur. Corneal epithelium disorder (superficial punctate keratitis, filamentary keratitis or corneal erosion) may occur during treatment. No clinical experience in patients w/ closed angle glaucoma. Immediately wipe off or wash face when any excess soln touches the skin around the eye. Take at least 5-min intervals when >1 ophth drug is used. Remove contact lenses prior to instillation & wait at least 15 min before reinsertion. Contains benzalkonium Cl. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Safety during pregnancy has not been established. Avoid administration to nursing mothers. Safety to low birth wt infants, neonates, infants or childn has not been established. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Iris pigmentation. Conjunctival hyperaemia, abnormality in eyelashes, itching, irritation, foreign body sensation, blepharal pigmentation, corneal epithelial disorder including superficial punctate keratitis, abnormal sensation in eye. Eye pain, hypertrichosis of eyelid, eye discharge, photophobia, heavy feeling of eye, lacrimation, blurred vision, conjunctival oedema, blepharitis; headache; erythema; elevated AST & serum K, +ve urine protein. Subconjunctival hemorrhage; dizziness; elevated ALT & γ-GTP, +ve urine sugar, increased eosinophils & uric acid, decreased leukocyte count.
