Indications/Uses
Moderate to severe, acute & chronic pain, painful diagnostic measures & surgery.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Resp depression, acute alcoholism & head injuries. Childn <12 yr, post-op management in childn <18 yr following tonsillectomy &/or adenoidectomy.
Special Precautions
Patients known to suffer from convulsions should be carefully monitored during treatment. Avoid use in adolescents 12-18 yr who have other risk factors that may increase their sensitivity to the resp depressant effects of tramadol unless the benefits outweigh the risks. Lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Sweating, dizziness, nausea, vomiting dry mouth & fatigue.
Drug Interactions
Zidovudine, morphine, diamorphine, cimetidine.
