Indications/Uses
Treatment of pain & inflammation associated w/ cataract surgery.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 drop tds beginning 1 day prior to surgery, continued on the day of surgery up to the 1st 2 wk post-op.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to nepafenac or to other NSAID.
Special Precautions
Risk of increased bleeding time due to interference w/ thrombocyte aggregation. Increased ocular tissue bleeding (eg, hyphemas) in conjunction w/ ocular surgery. Increased potential for healing problems w/ concomitant use of topical steroids. Monitor corneal condition. Discontinue use in patients w/ corneal epithelial breakdown. Avoid wearing contact lenses during administration. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <10 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Capsular opacity, decreased visual acuity, foreign body sensation, increased IOP, sticky sensation.
