Indications/Uses
Bacterial skin infections eg, impetigo, folliculitis, furunculosis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn Apply to the affected area up to tds for up to 10 days. The area may be covered w/ a dressing or occluded if desired.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to mupirocin or polyethylene glycol.
Special Precautions
Not for ophth or intranasal use. Not for use on mucosal surfaces. Avoid contact w/ eyes. Polyethylene glycol can be absorbed from open wounds & damaged skin. Should be used w/ caution if there is evidence of moderate or severe renal impairment. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Burning localised to the area of application; itching, erythema, stinging & dryness localised to the area of application; cutaneous sensitisation reactions.
