Mecobalamin
Dosage/Direction for Use
Tab Peripheral neuropathies 1 tab tds. Amp Peripheral neuropathies 1 amp IM or IV 3 times/wk. Megaloblastic anemia due to vit B12 deficiency 1 amp IM 3 times/wk. After 2 mth, 1 amp 1-3 mthly as maintenance.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Discontinue if there is no response after taking orally for several mth.
Adverse Reactions
Infrequently: Anorexia, nausea, diarrhea, pain & induration at IM inj site. Rarely: Skin rash, headache, sweating or hot sensation.
