Indications/Uses
Nosocomial pneumonia, community-acquired pneumonia, complicated skin & soft tissue infections caused by susceptible gram +ve bacteria.

Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 600 mg bd. Treatment duration: 10-14 consecutive days. Max: 28 days.

Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Concomitant use w/ MAOIs (eg, phenelzine, isocarboxacid, selegiline, moclobemide) or w/in 2 wk of taking any such medicinal product; SSRIs, SNRIs, TCAs & other psychiatric medications.

Special Precautions
Closely observe for signs & symptoms of serotonin syndrome (eg, cognitive dysfunction, hyperpyrexia, hyperreflexia & incoordination). Patients w/ hepatic insufficiency; severe renal insufficiency or patients undergoing dialysis. Not recommended in paed population.
