Primary hypercholesterolaemia (heterozygous familial & non-familial) as monotherapy or in combination w/ a statin. Homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia in combination w/ a statin.
Perform liver function tests before & during treatment. Concomitant use w/ fibrates. May cause dizziness to some patients; caution when driving & using machines. Not recommended in patients w/ moderate or severe liver problems. Pregnancy & lactation (in monotherapy). Not for childn & adolescents ≤17 yr.
Abdominal pain, diarrhoea, flatulence, feeling tired. In combination w/ a statin: Elevations in transaminases, headache, muscle pain, tenderness or weakness.
